Long before Chilly Willy’s Shaved Ice opened its doors in Hoover, there was a young Yeti named Willy who lived high above the clouds in the frozen peaks of the Arctic Mountains.

Unlike the other Yetis, Willy wasn’t interested in hiding from the world.

He loved adventure.

He loved making people smile.

And most of all, he loved creating the perfect bowl of snow.

Every winter, Willy experimented with fresh snow, colorful flavors, and secret recipes. Travelers who crossed the mountains would stop by his ice cave for a frozen treat before continuing their journey. Before long, stories of Willy’s legendary snow creations spread far beyond the frozen north.

One summer, Willy heard something that shocked him. People in the South were battling temperatures over 100 degrees. Kids were sweating through baseball games. Families were hiding indoors from the heat. People everywhere were searching for something cold and refreshing. So Willy packed up his favorite recipes, grabbed his trusty snow shovel, and headed south on a mission. When he arrived in Alabama, he knew he had found the perfect place. The summers were hot. The people were friendly. And everyone could use a little more chill in their day.

 

That’s when Willy opened Chilly Willy’s Shaved Ice and made it his mission to bring a blast of Arctic refreshment to every customer who walked through the door.

 

Today, Willy spends his days crafting legendary snowballs, inventing new flavors, and serving frozen happiness one cup at a time. His favorite creations include the Yeti Confetti, Northern Lights, Polar Brrr, Ice Breaker, and the famous YETI Freeze! 

 

When Willy isn’t handing out snowballs, he’s exploring the Frostbite Forest, searching for new flavor ideas, and training future members of the Snow Squad.

But no matter where he goes, his mission remains the same: “Freeze the Day.”
